When I first met Nichole at Panera it was like magic (and it wasn’t because of the Fuji Apple salad!). She was just so positive, optimistic, sweet, and sure about having me capture her wedding. Needless to say, I was SO honored and excited to serve her, her fiancé George, and her family on her wedding day! Nichole and George’s engagement photos took place at Moore State Park in Paxton, MA on a hot humid day this past summer. Capturing their authentic bond at their engagement shoot was such a breeze, especially with the help of her sweet mom. I just loved how they were both so fun loving and easy to talk to; not to mention their love and admiration for each other just radiated despite the heat! It made our time together at the park so enjoyable and the photos turn out great!
Time flew as we approached their wedding day and before we knew it, I was capturing the girls getting ready for Nichole’s big day down in the bridal suite of the Wight Barn, in Sturbridge, MA (my hometown!). Nichole had chosen a beautiful assortment of sparkly accessories and lovely navy blue bridesmaids gowns for her girls. As her wonderful and talented Maid of Honor did each one of the girls makeup, my second shooter and I captured the candid moments between the girls and her details around the property. The Wight Barn, which is actually not white – but red, offered some nice spots for dress shots and we were pretty happy with the way the ones of the dress against the barn came out! There was quite a bit of cloud coverage and wind that day, so over all I think we all did great!
Once the girls were ready and had shared some fun and memorable moments together in the suite and at the bar, George and his gentlemen arrived on the scene. Pulling up in a limo, looking dapper, and enjoying some festive libations had them ready and excited for the ceremony to begin! The ceremony took place outside on the patio in front of the barn and was attended by all of their closest family and friends. The moment Nichole and her Dad came down the aisle and George started tearing up I had to hold back tears myself! They were just so sweet. The ceremony was beautiful and I really liked the unity candle that was lit to symbolize the joining of their two families. “I do’s” were said, George kissed his bride, and the rest is history! 🙂
The speeches were incredibly touching, Nichole and George’s first dance was just perfect, and the celebration continued late into the night. Guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner, drinks, wedding cake, and received cupcakes to go! I loved the cute signs they had as well: “Life is sweet, enjoy a treat!” and the “Out Love Story” sign. All in all it was a night to remember! I wish the wonderful couple all the best & a sincere congratulations! Nichole and George I felt so grateful to be there to witness your union and I wish you the best of luck at the Atlantis Hotel and in all of your adventures together!
