Needless to say, I love photographing my family. After my high school girlfriends and I did an impromptu orchard shoot back in my home town, my youngest sister, Cami, mentioned that she would be up for an adventure as well! So, the next day I dolled her up and we ventured out to a local backyard tree farm! It was a cloudy day, which made it great for photos, but it was quite chilly. Cami was such a trooper and braved the cold in her furry little stole. Our mom even got involved and made Cami a quick and adorable holly crown!
Cami turned 16 this year and I’ve been really reminiscing about our years together at home lately. My twin siblings were born when I was 13 years old, so they were like my babies too! It’s so surreal to me that they’re now teenagers, in high school, dating, and are now on the roads (look out!)! It feels like just yesterday I was watching The Wiggles with them, and braiding Cami’s little wisps of hair after I had a long day at high school and field hockey practice. But time doesn’t slow down for anyone and here in front of me aren’t babies anymore, but wonderful young adults.
It has been such a joy watching Cami grow into the beautiful woman that she’s becoming. These photos really hit a heart string for me as well as for other members of my family! My little brother (her twin) walked in, saw one of the photos below on my screen, and said, “Who’s that?” I responded, “That’s Cami!” In disbelief he responded, “No it’s not!” He just couldn’t believe what a pretty young lady she’d grown into – he wouldn’t come out and say that because it would be totally uncool of course, but we all agree. She’s just so beautiful inside and out and we couldn’t be prouder of our Cami girl!
Cami – thank you again for being such an awesome sister, friend, and model! Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to everyone and cheers to a wonderful 2016!
